As of September 1st, 2019, you can now see a physical therapist in the state of Texas without needing a referral from another doctor or provider.

-Under the current law you can see a physical therapist over the course of 10 consecutive business days before a referral would be required to continue treatment.

-If you do have a referral for physical therapy for a specific location, the patient has the choice to go to any physical therapy clinic he or she desires.  The referral is valid at any physical therapy location.
